Little Hackers

About

Little Hackers is the UK's only coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations. We use the most sophisticated tools designed, developed, and moderated by the Scratch Foundation, a nonprofit organization.

Little Hackers UK promotes computational thinking and problem solving skills; creative teaching and learning; self-expression and collaboration; and equity in computing.

The earlier we start, the more able we become, and coding is now an essential modern tool. HTML coding will help with small and medium projects, such as making simple games and setting up websites. For the more adventurous, the basics of JavaScript and Python are also covered to help make dynamic interactions.

Little Hackers UK is a coding learning hub and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with us, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.

The Finer Print

Our community is build especially for ages 7 to 15, but is used by people of all ages. Hundreds of people are creating projects with us in a wide variety of settings, including homes, schools, museums, libraries, and community centres. The ability to code computer programs is an important part of literacy in today’s society. When people learn to code, they learn important strategies for solving problems, designing projects, and communicating ideas.
